During the renovation, an original brick wall was discovered and restored, and now serves as a unique design feature in the lobby. Prior to its conversion to the Hotel Indigo brand, the four-story, 100-room hotel underwent an $8-million renovation. Meeting rooms, named the Hunter Room and Jumper Room, and equestrian-inspired staff uniforms are a nod to the Hunter Jumper Classic competition held at the Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field. Nature-inspired design accents feature wood, grass and pebbles. The Beachwood neighborhood story is brought to life within the hotel through murals of the local green spaces that make up the Emerald Necklace and the experiences they offer, including flowing waterfalls, colorful patchwork hot air balloons and polo horses in action. “The extensive collection of parks, trails and waterways beg to be explored and discovered, and we look forward to connecting our guests to this vibrant and unique neighborhood.” “We like to think of this neighborhood’s green spaces as ‘naturally priceless’,” stated Mary Winslow, director, Americas Brand Management, Hotel Indigo. The Hotel Indigo Cleveland-Beachwood hotel celebrates the Cleveland Metroparks system, a diverse network of green spaces dedicated to conservation, education and recreation and referred to by locals as the “Emerald Necklace.” I just wish they would ditch the "trademark scent" used in the lobby (also used at Hyatt Place and others) - in my opinion it adds nothing to the experience and only serves to detract.CLEVELAND, OH-The first Hotel Indigo in Cleveland has opened in the Beachwood neighborhood. Good Wi-fi, good AC and pretty darn clean. YAY! Aveda toiletries added to the luxe factor. Hotel Indigo (and a fer others such as Aloft) have showers - no tubs. I LOVE that Hotel Indigo has walk-in showers instead of the tired-old tub-shower combo that most hotels have Those scuzzy tubs are always slippery and rarely offer a flat floor - surely a slip and fall danger. As a result, the floor can be cleaned well by housekeeping and never has the "yuck factor" one frequently experiences at hotels in this price range. Not a problem at Hotel Indigo where the flooring is a high-quality wood-look laminate. I find most carpeting in hotel rooms to be a HUGE turn-off as they often feel dirty underfoot - they are difficult to really clean well. Two of my pet peeves with typical hotel rooms are never an issue at Hotel Indigo -namely flooring material and the shower/bath. This is the second Hotel Indigo I've stayed at in recent years, and as a result, I will always look for one of their properties as a possibility when traveling. I would stay here again, and I would recommend anyone to get a room here. The furnishings are first rate, the rooms are spacious with all the amenities you would expect, the bathroom was very good. The atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxing, and I enjoyed my stay. Obviously she has been trained very well to perform under pressure. She was patient with me, and displayed a professional attitude towards me at all times. She called the manager, who was not on site, and explained what happened, and they reversed the no show with no argument. I went to the front desk after a wonderful breakfast, and they were more than helpful to try to get my no show reversed. But, I had to wait until the next morning to talk about trying to get my no show reversed and my CC credited. The front desk was gracious, and luckily I was able to get a room, but not for the second night, which I was sorry I could not stay after I knew how good this hotel is. Upon arrival on what I thought was the correct date, guess what? I didn't have a reservation. It happens, I used the IHG mobile app and didn't catch that I had put in the wrong arrival date and I showed up a day late. ![]()
